Wishlist For Spring 2022

It is always fun to compile a quick wishlist for a new season! This list is a quick one to be sure, because as I type this I am trying to settle a baby battling a case of the hiccups that just won’t quit! We are (not so) patiently awaiting warmer days ahead, when we can go on walks and enjoy longer days. But to each there is a season, and for us right now that means lots of newborn snuggles, late nights, and staying safe and cozy indoors.

Part of my wishlist goes with the postpartum reset I am craving! I am so looking forward to new routines that help me feel more like me. Believe it or not I am looking at old blog posts for inspiration. Getting back to some semblance of a self-care regimen sounds like a luxury right now; and for me, it’s looking like its going to require serious dedication and discipline. A lot of walk and a LOT less talk!

Self care goals

  • Getting my skin back to 100%; taking some action on this already with some treatments lined up! Pregnancy took a toll on my skin!

  • Falling into an exercise groove; the plan is a mixture of Pilates and just moving outside (once the weather breaks, the latter will be much easier - lots of long walks, maybe jogs!). I am trying to set a manageable, modest goal here. I am already down 4 lbs as of this morning, and so happy about it.

  • Mindfulness and positivity; enough said! There is so much power in positive thinking! Sometimes I get in a rut, who doesn’t?

  • Setting limits for social media; it makes me feel yucky, sometimes, and that is an understatement. I deleted my account for months in 2021 and it was a nice reset. I am considering doing it again for my personal account! More posts on this here .

  • Using my time more efficiently; oh boy, I can’t emphasize this ENOUGH!! This also reads: using nap time to my advantage! Ha!

  • Eating cleaner; probably the most difficult for me…limiting carbs and starches, increasing greens, fruits and veggies.

So there you have it! Now, here is a rundown of some actual material things I am currently crushing on, and wishing for!! These might (might!?) help me attain some of my self care goals, right??

current wish list

  • Jewelry Updates- I’d love a G monogram for baby to wear with me always! I am trying to decide which kind of gold pendant I’d most like, but I’d love a 20” ish length pendant that is versatile enough (and durable enough) for everyday wear! As for storage, this jewelry box here is the dream! So many little storage nooks and crannies, plus a chic and minimalist design! Source: Crate and Barrel | Sezane | Mejuri

  • Prose Hair System - until we get a water softener, what a luxury this would be! A custom-created hair system!

  • Apple AirPods Pro - my old AirPods barely make it through a 15 minute phone call or FaceTime…enough said! Source: Apple

  • Compression Socks - This is a bit goofy, but I geek out over a good pair of socks! I’d love to find a good pair that can double team for walks/jogs. I have a few pair specifically for hiking (from our Grand Canyon trip) but they are so hideous, all sorts of colors. But I won’t throw them out because they feel great! Source: Lululemon

  • Shoes - I have a pair of Rothy’s and I love the versatility (and washability) of these shoes. I’d get their driving loafers or lace up sneakers next. The slip-ons I have are WHITE-WHITE, so I am looking for a beige/sand color next. Maybe it will hide dirt a bit better! I also have a couple pairs of Vionic shoes and I am a huge, huge fan. They are so well made, supportive, and worth every penny. I am loving these lace-ups, and these sock booties…Source | Rothy’s | Vionic

  • Comfy & Nursing Friendly Clothing - anything with buttons, zippers, or wraps to open in the front is an MVP in my wardrobe right now! I am even dreaming up how I would design my own clothing that is nursing-friendly; it’s bringing out my former aspirations to be a fashion designer! Also: sweatpants! Source: Madewell | Lululemon

  • Tuckernuck Dresses - I love their preppy looks for work and play! Source: Tuckernuck

  • Andie Swimsuit - going to hopefully have a lot of time either on the beach or at the lake! I am in need of new swimwear and Andie seems to be a brand that gets great reviews with their simple, clean-cut lines. I also love that they have full coverage on the bottom… Source: Andie
