Every once in a while it’s fun to compile a little “wish list” isn’t it? I guess it is the feeling of the new year, a sense of renewal…or just my bad habits of buying that makes me want new stuff! In my defense some of it I already own (ha!) and some of it is for my dog. So that doesn’t count, right?

This winter has been SO mild it is kind of depressing. It feels like Mother Nature is withholding a huge snowfall and she owes us one. But, it makes it really easy to imagine Springtime. Right before “winter” I planted a bunch of crocus bulbs and I am so excited to see how they burst out of the ground. I chose crocuses, for no other reason than it was always my favorite as a child - their cheerful and small flowers always herald the beginning of spring. I planted over 50!

In terms of clothes, there is always something I have my eye on. But I am working on eating better and treating my skin and little more nicely. Maybe if I can keep some goals I will treat myself to either a nice Sezane dress or this Anthropologie cardigan - they’d be perfect for our trip to California this April!

We bought a brand new bed (!!!) and I splurged on luxe bedding which I do not regret for a second. Okay, it’s been literally * one * night’s sleep so far, but I slept for over 12 hours in our new Parachute sheets. It’s frustrating to spend so much on a bed, especially since so much of it is layered/unseen when not in use. But when I was curled up last night under that dreamy duvet, I was very pleased and comfortable. I haven’t slept that well in a long time. Maybe it’s because we didn’t let Rosie in the bed yet.

Speaking of Rosie, she needs a new harness. The one we have currently was a Christmas gift for her and I am so unhappy with how it bunches…it must be so uncomfortable. So I have been looking at the California-inspired styles of these Leeds collars, but I also want to pick something out that doesn’t clash with a new artisan-style dog tag.

Another thing we hope to start soon is our master bathroom reno (ugh). I am not looking forward to undertaking a new project. Before we start, we need to make all of the major cosmetic decisions like choosing tile, faucets, vanities, etc. I am dreaming up something light and airy, because it is probably theeee tiniest bathroom I have ever seen. White/marble and silver accents are what I am currently envisioning.
