Peak Leaf Nature Walk
We are lucky to live in an area where we get the most beautiful displays of fall color in October. It’s truly a sight to behold and it makes me so grateful to experience all four seasons in our neck of the woods. To celebrate peak leaf weekend, we took a brief little nature walk to see the foliage. It was surprisingly gusty and chilly, and we all probably could have used jackets!
It amazes me that we only have two more months in the year and G is going to be two years old so so soon. We are staring down at the onset of 2024 and it feels like this year was just impossibly short. I really am glad we have been taking intentional steps to slow down and take pictures of these otherwise uneventful days. These memories we’re capturing are truly the essence of life. We’ll look back on them and wonder just how these times were ever so simple.
This might sound silly…but putting on my favorite sweater and going for a nature walk with my family is my ideal version of self care (especially if I get to bring my camera).
