It’s been a while since I did a quick “currently” post!
Podcast - How’d She Do That by Emily Landers. Each episode delivers a little dose of inspiration and Emily’s voice is smooth as butter! I love hearing from all of the entrepreneurs and visionaries she books. On days that I feel uninspired, this is almost always a cure. I enjoy that my Instagram feed is increasingly filled with some of the artists, bloggers and creatives she hosts. I’m learning fast that I am drawn to this podcast for how it makes me feel. Anticipation, excitement for what’s to come, and an assurance that anything is possible! What a dream it is to be on a show someday like this, talking about my blog and photography and creative pursuits.
Morning Routine - wakeup at 5:00 AM or so, fix hair and do makeup, get dressed. I have been taking a daily outfit picture for instagram stories (part of my capsule journey wardrobe) so I try to squeeze that in before baby wakes up around 5:45-6 AM. Then, wake up the baby, get her dressed and ready for her day. We share a quick bite of breakfast together while my coffee brews! Then, out the door. I have been loving how the morning commute is a bit more bright. All of that will soon change with upcoming daylight savings, but the chilly morning views of frosted fields and pink skies have been so enchanting.
Home Decor Inspo - I have a lot of plans and dreams in my head for some cosmetic and decor projects in our kitchen and living room. Until then, this beautiful spring centerpiece that I styled with faux tulips in a textured vase. It is giving me so much excitement for Easter and spring but the moody urn also feels serious and earthy. I love the juxtaposition! These tulips were inspired by a display I found at an antique store in Lake George, NY from this trip. As soon as I saw them I knew that I needed to scour Etsy for high-quality handmade faux tulips to achieve the same look and feel. They are so luxurious!! (Tulips source is Etsy || similar vase here- I got mine at the same store!)
Recipe - I’ll be honest, my go to of the last few weeks has been take out. Ahh! If I am cooking, it’s been really simple. I’ve lately been just doing a simple skillet chicken seasoned with oregano, adobo, pepper, paprika, and garlic. If I have more time, I am prepping dishes for oven baking. The other day I roasted garlic and some flavorful cherry tomatoes and threw it in some cavatelli pasta. It was delish!
Trend I’m Into - Cropped tees with high-waisted jeans, slugging and gua sha, white sneakers.
Trend I’m Skipping - Flare jeans and the denim maxi skirt trend…
Coffee order - I have been in my at-home coffee heyday. I used to be in the “nothing is better than Starbucks” camp but honestly I am really into my homemade Nespresso. I recently switched to oatmilk. So I do a big pour of heated/frothed oat milk, a Nespresso pod, and a dash of cinnamon.
Show - Clarkson’s Farm has been on repeat in my house. I find it to be absolutely delightful and peaceful; it is beautifully filmed and is visually a masterpiece. Jeremy Clarkson and his team is hugely entertaining. We’ve also been watching Outer Banks. Can’t wait for Succession and Mrs. Maisel to come back!
Travel dreams -Lately I’ve been feeling the pull to fly again. I haven’t flown since this Florida Keys trip which I am astonished was now 4 years ago. I think it’s time for a new trip for sure. Domestically, I am feeling drawn to the South….Charleston, Savannah, 30A. Internationally, Europe and the UK.
Wishlist - This makeup, new jeans, and this camera!
