  • Eyeing up a Nespresso machine…worth it? It feels like the perfect weekend luxury.

  • I have a particular knack for “rediscovering” an interest and falling again, hard. These past two months it has been the music of the Bee Gees. My grandmom always liked them, and S and I have a penchant for 70s music. Lately their playlist from their latest documentary has been on repeat, and I am noticing for the first time their uniqueness as a band of brothers. It’s so neat to know a story behind each song, too. I have a list of songs I have loved for a long time... but my “new” favorites list includes: Massachusetts, How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, Jive Talkin’, Fanny (Be Tender With My Love), Too Much Heaven, Run To Me, Love You Inside Out, topped with Tragedy and Nights on Broadway. I love that their career tells more like a story (I particularly like Barry best, and the story of how he “found” his falsetto). In all seriousness I love their authenticity and humility as brothers…but I would be lying if I didn’t have a teeny crush on c. 1975 Barry Gibb ;)

  • We finally ordered this coffee table from West Elm, after years of desiring it…it comes this month! Rosie will like it because her tennis balls can’t get stuck underneath.

  • I am really into my new “self-care” routine. Gua Sha and Dry Brushing have hands down made a difference, and I am newly intrigued by the benefits. Who knew that you could stimulate the lymphatic system and boost circulation with these small moves? My skin feels great.

  • My mom gifted me a few lovely things lately, including these paperwhite bulbs which have blossomed into tall, fragrant stalks of white! She also gave me a copy of Ina Garten’s newest cookbook, Modern Comfort Food. Sometimes I wish I could just write cookbooks for a living…

  • We went to look at RVs and made a pit stop at Trolley Barn Public Market in Quakertown this weekend. We got the most amazing flatbreads! The tomatoes on my margherita were out of the world.

  • My combo for having a great nights sleep, waking up refreshed + light … not snacking. It stinks, but whenever I wake up feeling great, I think to myself “it is so worth it!”

  • Another wellness kick I am on has been after work pilates for either 20, 30, or 45 minutes. I just turn Youtube on my TV and play a video. I like Tasha Franken the best, her videos are really easy to follow and even S remarked how difficult they are. After her videos, I feel a noticeable difference and that great kind of muscle soreness!

  • It is hard to believe that we are coming up on a year of Covid19 lockdown. My journal is my happy place, my little photo archive of life…I try to keep it light, but this year has been the toughest hands down with work and family.

  • Cups of Taylor’s Scottish tea have been a great evening tradition for me, lately. Why does a cup of tea seem to cure all?

  • My friend C recommended this video on Youtube - Top 100 in Europe - and it felt like I took a trip! It was invigorating, beautifully shot and composed…and I reveled in the dramatic landscapes. I think Seceda, Italy and the Faroe Islands are high on my list.

  • Since 2020, I feel like I have never watched more TV in my life (something I am not quite proud of). However, I think the best show I watched in recent days has been Ted Lasso on AppleTV. It is absolutely delightful, fresh, and…shockingly simple. It is so pleasant and positive, something I desperately needed in mainstream TV.

  • I got an Apple Watch for Christmas! It arrived in January because of massive USPS delays. I am more in tune with my workout consistency and step counts, which is great. It helps me stay on a track of higher activity (which comes with a nice sense of accomplishment).
