They say some things never go out of style…perhaps that is the case with these boot cut jeans! I personally feel like I am revisiting the early 00s again, and I am not mad about it. In the 00s, I was in middle and high school, and I distinctly remember wearing flip flops, Converses, and even white sneaks with my Abercrombie polos and hoodies. Let’s just erase that vision right now.
So, what do we think? Are boot cut jeans back? I think they are totally here to say, given one key condition: I think the difference here is actually wearing boots with your boot-cut jeans…We all know that the 90s-00s are trending hard right now in every sense. The looks harkening back to these decades now feel sleeker and edgier than they probably were back then…and that’s OK. Improvements are good in fashion!
I love this pair of jeans paired with point-toe boots, personally. I feel as though the point-toe adds length to my shorter 5’3” frame, extending my legs even just a smidge. These jeans in particular come in a bunch of nice washes (I am eyeing up the black) but perhaps my favorite feature is the mid-rise and the stretch. They are oh-so forgiving!
A word on the boots - if you’re going to try this look, I highly recommend wearing your boot cut jeans with ankle booties like this! A little heel never hurts, either. A low profile and a lifted heel will make for a sleeker silhouette, as it prevents your denim from bunching up.
