5 Holiday Drinks To Try Right Now

Looking for some fun non-alcoholic drinks to serve during the holidays? Today I am sharing one cocktail and four mocktails (that could easily be transformed into a cocktail) that are batch-friendly, perfect for serving guests, and look beautiful in any glass. I personally love a mocktail for many reasons, and these recipes do not skimp on the glamour or decadence during the holiday season. It’s so fun to indulge and make your guests feel at home the second they walk in the door. Let me know if you try one of these recipes, and which is your favorite! Cheers!

Bitter Apple Cider Spritz (Alcoholic)

Imagine you have a roaring fire, Christmas music is on, and you’re about to dive into some gift wrapping (or even better, your favorite Christmastime rom com). You have this lovely Apple Cider Spritz in one hand and it’s pretty much the epitome of cozy.

This is a gorgeous cocktail that can truly be customized in so many ways. I love the festive star anise as garnish, it really is so perfect for the holidays.

  • 1.5 oz Aperol

  • 3 oz prosecco (tastes fine without, too)

  • 3 oz. club soda

  • 3 oz apple cider

  • star anise and apple (for garnish)

Pumpkin Spice Mule (Non-Alcoholic)

I’m not sure about you, but I love pumpkin spice anything well into the winter. Even though this drink is very autumnal in nature, I love how delicate it is and can be made into a delicious (and heavier) cocktail if you desire. This drink’s flavor is delicate and balanced nicely with the spice of the ginger beer. I personally love a pumpkin drink, so you can go heavy on the pumpkin puree! This is such a cozy and savory drink.

Combine all ingredients in a mixer and shake vigorously. Add 4-5 drops of vanilla extract and dash of pumpkin pie spice. Add ice, garnish your class with cinnamon. To turn this into a cocktail, I imagine a vanilla cream vodka would be a good suggestion.

  • 2 tablespoon pumpkin puree

  • juice of 1 lime

  • 6.8 oz bottle of ginger beer (I prefer Fever Tree)

  • cinnamon

  • pumpkin pie spice

  • vanilla extract

Pomegranate Cranberry Fizz (Non-Alcoholic)

There is something about the deep burgundy hue of this beautiful drink. It’s so moody but it tastes exuberant! Pomegranate is such an amazingly underrated winter flavor and it is as beautiful as it is delicious!

I love serving this drink in coupes or flutes - It is so elegant when served in a long champagne flute with ice and pomegranate seeds for garnish. It’s fizzy and delicious and the perfect Christmas or NYE beverage. To make it alcoholic, I’d recommend a splash of vodka.

  • 1 oz pomegranate cranberry juice

  • 3/4 oz lime juice

  • top with club soda

  • add pomegranate seeds for garnish

Sparkling Grapefruit Refresher Batch (Non-Alcoholic)

Need a pretty, festive batch mocktail for serving guests? Look no further than this beautiful and refreshing mocktail I love this drink for gatherings, especially girls’ nights (who doesn’t love a pink drink?). Using in-season citrus fruit, this drink is effervescent and dangerously easy to gulp down! To make this boozy, add a splash of prosecco.

  • juice of 6 grapefruits

  • Fever Tree Sparkling grapefruit juice (I used 2 16 oz. bottles)

  • 1/2 cup honey mixed with rosemary simple syrup

  • Garnish with fresh sprigs of rosemary

  • Optional glass rim: sugar sprinkles

Note on the simple syrup: I don’t have a dedicated blog post for this, but it’s really a simple recipe (hence: the term simple syrup). Take equal parts water and sugar and boil in a saucepan on the stove until the sugar dissolves. You can swap out regular refined sugar for other sugars - in this case, honey - and you can add other additional flavors to enhance and change the taste. Adding a few sprigs of rosemary will give you the most delectable and light herbal taste to your simple syrup.

Turmeric Tonic (Non-Alcoholic)

Not only is this delicious drink crisp and a little spicy, it has a lot of qualities that classify as a healthy drink packed with tons of benefits. It helps brighten skin, reduce inflammation, all while boosting hydration and collagen. It includes lots of really fresh ingredients mixed up to yield the most vibrant orange color. You can also make it in batches. While I don’t recommend making this drink boozy, you could add prosecco for a bit of a buzz.

Combine all ingredients and shake vigorously in a covered container.

  • juice of 1 lemon

  • 1/4 cup water (still or sparkling works)

  • 1 tbs local honey

  • 3/4 cup of coconut water

  • 1 tps grated fresh ginger (pro tip: buy frozen ginger cloves)

  • 1 packet turmeric

  • 1 scoop collagen powder

  • handful of ice cubes

  • dash of cayenne pepper
