My First Batch of Handmade Paper

Has anyone else been getting concerned about the grocery stores’ inadequate supply of paper towels or toilet paper? In what feels like a hilarious twist, I embarked on a paper-making journey this week. And the product quite resembles toilet paper or paper towels…so, crisis averted. I am a bit disappointed in the roughness of my paper, but I am chalking it up to being a beginner, given it is my first time and such. But the paper making process is quite interesting. I enrolled in a free course (thank you!) from the delightful Pressed Paper, where the steps are broken down over a three day period, which I think is genius. Given that I DIY’ed almost all of the equipment, I guess my hastily-made paper isn’t quite as bad as it could have been. It photographs BEAUTIFULLY but for some reason just doesn’t quite feel that good. I guess next time I will switch up my technique and hope for something a bit smoother :)
