Ocracoke Getaway

The Outer Banks is refreshingly the same as I remembered! Very little has changed since my last adventures there. It’s fitting to let nature do all of the changing - the shifting of inlets, barrier island, sandbars - because the naturalness of this place is my favorite thing about it. We always make the point to trek as far south as we can get - well not really south, but rather as outer as we can get. It’s called the Outer Banks for a reason - the further out, the more pristine and beautiful. It’s a little less discovered, a little less hurrisome, a little more rugged. Here, the elements reign - not people.
