3 Shoes To Wear With Wide-Leg Pants
I have been reaching more and more for my wide leg pants for work and play lately. I have had them for a couple seasons now and I love them for their comfort and flattering silhouette. When I first bought them, I wore them ALL the time in the summer because they went seamlessly with all of my summer shoes. I loved wearing them with my leather slides, or even strappy heels.
Now that we are in full-blown winter, it is a little more difficult to style close toed shoes with these pants. I am not ready to give these pants up BUT I also need to be more practical about the shoes I am wearing with them! I am also committed to finding something comfortable because I am on my feet all day. I have come up with three solid solutions to take these pants with me into winter!
Look 1. Stacked Neutral Booties
OK, this is my favorite look! These booties work because they have a few things going on. First, they are neutral which means that they go with everything. Vince Camuto makes these comfortable “just right” booties which are the perfect amount of height. They are edgy with the pointed toe and adds an illusion of height. The point toe plays off the wide-leg silhouette. These boots are Vince Camuto and you can find a similar version here!
Look 2: White Sneakers
Pairing sneakers with your wide leg pants is a great practical weekend or travel look. An ankle-skimming, simple white sneaker is a great way to wear your wide leg pants. I like letting a little bit of the ankle show so it doesn’t look clunky. Because the pants are loose, I like my sneakers to be on the simple: laced up with no-show socks. My sneakers are from last year, but you can find this similar pair at Target for under $30 (I also purchased mine at a similar price point from Target).
Look 3: Work-Ready Mules
It’s good to have a pair of shoes that you don’t even need to THINK about! These are tried and true winners, because they always look good. The bit detail looks so elevated and goes great with other accessories. These mules are from Nordstrom and were worth every penny (under $60!).
