Valentine's Day Edit
Details: V Neck Midi Dress | Earrings | Bandana | Pearl Sweater | Square Neck Puff Sleeve Top | Mini Bag
I am getting so excited for Valentine’s Day! It is a great holiday for dressing in ultra-feminine, romantic pieces. It’s also a great time to get creative for date-night looks. My little edit here is based on a modest, realistic and every day kind of way to celebrate Valentine’s!
I have never been one to wear true red unless it is in small doses, like on an accessory or nail color. Instead of red, I opt for baby pink, which is softer and a little more romantic. I found these pieces to be the inspiration for the look I am going for! My ideal Valentine’s Day celebrations would start with the outfit: a comfortable yet flattering dress, perhaps in a drapey fabric that hits in all the right places! I’d wear statement earrings, cute heels, and top it off with a warm neutral coat. For festivities, I’d start with cocktails for two (something pink, maybe a cosmo!) before a delicious dinner in an ambient, cozy restaurant. A corner table with lots of votive candles would be ideal! Then, home for tv or a cheesy rom-com and snuggles on the couch with a glass of pinot grigio….or a cuppa tea.
Here are a few posts on Valentine’s Day from previous years:
Last year I did a post on how to extend the life of your Valentine’s roses!
An outfit post from many moons ago (wearing red, ironically).
Valentine’s Day gifting is all in the presentation!
A cute little watercolor design in honor of Valentine’s Day. I made this into a card one year!
