My friend C and I have a penchant for summertime adventures, including but not limited to spontaneous travels, colorful photography, bubbly aperitivi, and front seats to a beautiful view. We planned a photographer’s weekend, simply to take photos and create memories and get a bit of relaxation in this last weekend of summer. It was truly an escape! The weather was crisp, the crowds lulled, and the rays of mid day sunshine ever so slightly softer.

Read MoreI’ve always thought they were pretty, but in the sense of admiring them from afar. They grow without bounds at the shore, especially at Long Beach Island, but I’ve never appreciated their beauty here in this less-salty, inland climate. I have such a newfound appreciation for them in my garden, because of their generosity and artfulness. Each cluster of buds seems to turn a different purple, blue or pink through the weeks and it is delightful to guess what I will get.
