The natural lighting in the kitchen is unbeatable in the cold winter months! With the freshly fallen snow, beams of light are illuminated upward. Right through our window, we catch the best midmorning and afternoon light, and even in the dusk hours there is a twinkly, purple glow that is quite difficult to put into words.

The festive feeling swells up in me as I hear dialogues of familiar movies, Christmas carols, and chiming bells. It gets stronger with scents of fresh pine, peppermint, baking cookies, and the sharp chill in the air.
